Why it is important to fail a bit

People starting a business think that you make a small investment of cash and time and then it’s off to the races. Well, not exactly. See, most new business people – particularly online – make many big mistakes when they first start out. The trick is not to avoid all mistakes in your online business, as this is impossible. No. The idea is to fail as inexpensively as possible. That’s right – learn your difficult lessons because we all must. But make sure your online business is still around on the other side of those mistakes.

My recommendation for the brand new online business person is to go to their nearest turnkey websites for sale marketplace and buy something inexpensive. Say under $300. Then give that a college try for a few months. Don’t spend big on any web design or online advertising. No pay per click. Just get out there and give this a serious go. You learn volumes about online marketing and your business will show you the way. But you will get all this learning at a very low price so you can then turn around and launch it again.
