If you have a female dog in your house as a pet then you need to be aware of its mating period in order to breed puppies. If you don’t know the exact time, then ask the vet or the person who sold it to you. Most dog breeds have around two weeks during which they feel the heat. Once you have let your dog mate, it can take a while before you are sure that it she is pregnant. If you are not prepared to handle the pregnancy from before then it can be quite a messy situation to take care of.
