Bought an Old Foreclosure Home
After six months of house hunting, we finally found a suitable home that we could afford. All we had was $55,000 to spend. We found a foreclosure home that was built in 1867. For its age it is in really good shape. The craftsmanship is one of the worst jobs I have ever seen. Our main concern is affordability. I am needing to buy a hot water heater and I am wondering what LEED would recommend. I want to gradually go green with the house. When something breaks it will be replaced with the most energy efficient replacement. I need to learn about simple and cheap money saving home improvements.
