The Protective Covering – The Plague Doctor Mask

The doctors of the thirteenth century or the so called magicians and the tricky ones in the community assumed this mask and the combine suit sort of attire as protective covering. The mask was consisting of red glass eyepieces with a bird sort of beak provided with holes on either side to breath. The beak is usually stuffed with as much aromatic herbs as possible to keep away from the nasty smell of the bad air which spreads the plague. The red glass eyepieces of the plague doctor mask are the key feature which are said to keep the evil at a distance away from attacking the person wearing it.
