One of the more lamentable traitis of fossil fuels is that they’re often buried in inconvenient places. Beneath the ocean? Yeah, that’s bad enough, but how about in the territory of a brutal third world dictator? This is all too common, and the resulting economic exchanges create highly dangerous threats to civilization by funding sociopaths with delusions of grandeur. By devaluing oil through solar power, you remove profit from the pockets of madmen, and make the world a safer place for everyone.
