Diabetic foot and its Complication

A problem in which the foot and lower limb in those with diabetes is put at increased risk for tissue damage due to the pathophysiological processes of diabetes is the diabetic foot. The number that is considered as one reason for admission to hospital in those with diabetes is the complications of the foot in those with diabetes. These complication that result in the hospital admission include a spreading infection due to an ulcer; a wound that will not heal; a Charcot’s foot, which is a fracture or dislocation of a bone or joint. Often the outcome of this admission is a total or partial amputation of the foot, as it is the only way to get healed.
