Been Getting a Lot of Heel Spurs Lately

I have been trying to exercise a bit more lately. I have about five to ten pounds that I would really like to lose. I have decided to start slowly and have taken up walking for exercise. The only problem is that I have been getting a lot of heel spurs lately. I am not sure why. I think that part of the problem is that I have not been this active since I was a lot younger. I am wondering if there is more going on such as my shoes or something else. If the problem continues, I will see a doctor.
