Watching Baseball Games Live

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Lots of Americans enjoy catching up with their friends and watching a baseball game on television.  Many people also enjoy traveling around the country to the various stadiums and catching the games live.  The live games are so popular that several travel companies will charter a bus and plan weekend getaways and trips to these games.  If you have never had the chance to experience one of these live games for yourself then you should add it to your things to do list, because it is an experience that everyone should have for themselves at least once in their lifetime!

How High You Can Jump

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

How high you can jump is determined by the force that you can exert when you contract your leg muscles against gravity. Strengthening your muscles in the same way that you use them in jumping will help you on How to Jump Higher. You strengthen muscles by exercising them against progressively greater resistance, such as lifting heavier weights. To be able to jump higher, you have to exercise your muscles against resistance in the same way that you use them when you jump. You can bend your knees and hips and straighten them by performing leg presses up while lying on your back, sideways while sitting in a chair, or down against the ground when you squat in the upright position.

I Feel Safe In My Burton Bindings

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Snowboarding is just a fun sport.  There really isn’t any other sport like it and you get to have fun in the dreaded winter.  I am a pretty serious snowboarder and I like to tear it up when I am on the slopes.  I only use the best equipment.  I have a pretty nice snowboard and I use only burton bindings for it.  They make me feel safe on my board and I know that I can just think about making down the slope in one piece.  I don’t need to worry about anything else when I am out there having fun.

Electric Airsoft Rifles Are Fun When Playing War

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Airsoft battles have gained popularity as a fun, recreational activity.  Participants dress up in military attire, purchase airsoft guns that are excellent replica’s and carry tactical gear and other accessories.  Electric airsoft rifles that look and feel like M16′s or other automatic weapons are the most popular and widely available airsoft gun on the market.  Members then meet at battle fields that have been set up to look like a real combat zone, with bunkers, trenches and other enhancements and they go to “war”.  The games vary in style often depending on budget, location and the number of players but can be anything from short skirmishes to full historical re-enactments.

At the peewee hockey rink

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I find peewee hockey to be one of the cutest things a small child can do. They look so cute out there with all the padding on and trying to skate. I once saw a rink with outdoor wall padding so the small mean little hockey players did not slam the other ones too hard into the wall. They just kind of bounce off of it and keep going. Now in actual hockey games for adults I am all for the rough stuff. I just liked the sight of them just kind of rebounding and not even knowing what had happened.

Golf Carts as Utility Vehicles

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

As more and more people turn to “Neighborhood Electric Vehicles” (formerly known as golf carts), more and more people are finding that golf cart utility accessories turn their form of inexpensive local transportation into work-horses as well. With a minor bit of conversion, landscape contractors have turned golf carts into miniature pick up trucks for moving materials around a site that used to moved by wheelbarrow. Several companies are engaged in the business of making dump-beds that convert a typical golf cart into a mini dump-truck, and still others are beefing up the motors so that golf carts can be used to pull machinery (like mowers and graders) that used to be powered by workers or gasoline-powered vehicles.

New Jordans for our trip

Monday, September 28th, 2009

We weren’t even sure which one of the New Jordans I was going to get. We want one that is not going to be extremely heavy, but we did not want it to be so thin that it would fall apart quickly. We wanted one that had enough spots for all of our stuff. We, of course, wanted one that was waterproof. If it went over by some chance we would love to be able to retrieve it. We are leaving tomorrow so I hope we can find one right away. There are so many nice ones to choose from.

Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition Basics

Friday, September 18th, 2009

You must have heard about rangefinders with Global Positioning System (GPS). But Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition uses a unique laser technology to measure distances in a golf course. Unlike the GPS rangefinders, the laser technology has a much simpler operation. All you need to do look through the lens and point the LCD crosshair to any target of your choice; say the flag, a tree or a bunker. Once you click the button, the device lets out a pulse of infrared light. The Pinseeker then calculates the distance by measuring the amount of time the light takes to bounce off the object and return. This device weighs only 10 ounce and measures about the size of two sleeves of ball. So this device is extremely convenient to carry along the golf course in your pocket or your golf bag without feeling any additional weight. Go to Golf Laser Rangefinder Review to learn more about the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500.

If You Are a Serious Golfer, You Need the Bushnell Yardage Pro

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

People who do many things to pass the time or have many different hobbies most likely do not take any of them very seriously.  Those who are golfers tend to take the game seriously and they want to play as much as they can.  The thing that is different about golfers that any other sports players is the skill that is involved in really playing the game well.  One of the most important parts of the game is figuring out how far the ball is from the pin.  When you use the Bushnell Yardage Pro you will no longer be at the mercy of the sun and the shade on the fairway.  You will know.
