The Shoes That I Remember Most

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Growing up I had a bunch of different kinds of shoes over all of those years.  I never really had the same kind of shoe more than once.  However, I remember my Vans Classic Slip On shoes better than any other.  I asked for those for 5 months or more before I got them.  They were the coolest thing back then.  The coolest thing happened to me the other day when I found a sale on them online.  I was immediately taken back to my childhood and knew that I needed to buy a pair of these shoes as soon as possible.

My Lucky Day

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

We had just got back our income tax check and we were deciding how we should spend the money.  I wanted to purchase something that the entire family could enjoy and I was not sure exactly what I was looking for.  I was looking at our local newspaper and ran across a classified ad that interested me.  It was for a used pontoon boats for sale by owner and this made me realize that this would be the perfect purchase for us.  I called and we went to look at the boat and decided to buy it.  We got it at a great price and it was definitely a lucky day for all of us.

Cold Weather Gear

Friday, January 15th, 2010

It is the season for new ski clothes and this year I think that I have finally figured out the type of clothing that I would like. I have had my eye on the westbeach franz jacket. Not only is it stylish but it also protects me from all of the elements when I am in the snow but it also is a great fit so that no excess air can get in. In seasons past I have had a good jacket but not everything was protected and that is why I practically have to get a new jacket each year.

A Great Concert

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

We went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert and it was awesome.  We love them and their music is so good.  The concert was at portman road and the weather was good.  The stadium was completely packed and it was a night to remember.  We have been following their music for quite some time and we love the grittiness of their music.  This is the best concert that I have ever attended.  Our seats were really close to the stage and that made the night just perfect.  I hope that this group comes back very soon.  We will definitely go and see them again.

Jordan 3 Prom

Monday, January 11th, 2010

My daughter’s friends from her second period gym class have all decided to get matching shoes and wear them to this year’s prom.  That is not so unusual.  Kids do things like that all the time, right.  They have chosen a pair of Jordan 3.  They plan on going home and asking for their parent’s credit card since they want to get them ordered before the end of the week.  I don’t know if they’re going to tell them the part about wearing them to the prom, though.  They will probably wait to see the big smile on their faces as they look at the prom pictures together.

Asics Gel DS Trainer

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

The Asics Gel DS Trainer is now into its 15th version. It is one of the Asics running shoe companies more popular running shoes. It offers both support and cushioning, but is very lightweight and is used by many as a competition shoe. It is usually recommended for runners who are biomechanically efficient and do not have a pronated or supinated foot. The reason for this is that there are not many design features built into the shoe to improve the runners biomechanics or foot function. The shoe is snug fitting, but still has reasonable room in the toe box.
